Limitations.
With on-site etching, there are both limitations and extra possibilities. The limitations are that I am only able to do surface etching, which is where the glass is either frosted or not, all to a uniform shallow depth. If I can reach the glass I can etch it. If it is very high and I would require an hydraulic elevator, that would incur extra costs.
Possibilities.
What this does provide is the ability to etch onto any size glass, as long as I can reach it. This saves time by not having to remove the existing glass, entailing an extra expense in moving the glass to and from your site to my shop. The time taken from beginning to end is also shortened.
Timing.
For on-site glass etching, it will take approximately 3 to 5 hours, depending upon the complexity and size of the etching
Communications.
Once it has been agreed upon to do an etching, I like to communicate back and forth via email, as far as determining what the art work is going to look like.

Limitations
The only limitations with etching at my shop is the size, which has a maximum of 6 foot by 8 foot.
Possibilities
Your imagination as to what you want. From single stage carving, to shading, to multi-stage carving, as well as glue chipping, I can do it, but each method has its own costs associated with it.
Timing.
Etching at my shop will take the same length of time as it would on-site, but I do not have to be in your house for the 3 to 5 hours.
Communications.
Same as on-site.
